As the owner of both The Kleemann House and Eagle’s Landing Lodge, my mission has always been simple: provide exceptional hospitality and create memorable experiences that bring people together.
Welcome to your home away from home!
The Kleemann House opened on August 15, 1883, as a tourist hotel in Custer, South Dakota. As only the third brick building constructed in Custer, it became known as a luxurious and grand retreat for travelers visiting the Black Hills, including notable western figures such as Buffalo Bill Cody.
The hotel featured a parlor, office, dining room, and bar that reportedly offered “the finest Kentucky whiskies, imported and domestic wines, brandies, cordials and cigars, and the best brands of bottled lager.” According to the Custer Chronicle, the hotel also featured numerous large and airy bedrooms designed to provide comfort and elegance for its guests.
Over the years, the Kleemann House has seen many changes After undergoing extensive restoration, this historic landmark is once again welcoming guests to experience its timeless charm and rich history in the heart of Custer.
History Lives Here.
